Aldea is Spanish for village and Aldea de Santa Fe definitely has the feel of a village. Aldea has winding streets, great mountain views, lovely landscaping and sidewalks. And yes, sidewalls, a rarity in Santa Fe. LOL. Keeping in line with the feel of a village it also has a plaza. These are nice mid priced homes .
Here is something new in Aldea. A long needed place to eat, have coffee and meet friends.
Monday to Wednesday: 9am to 3pm and Thursday to Sunday: 9am to 7pm
We serve Breakfact, lunch and dinner and snacks all day. We cater for the community of Aldea de Santa Fe and nearby subdivisions. We stock a wide range of drinks (Specialty Coffees, Teas, Soft Drinks, Chai, Smoothies, Wine and Beer). An eclectic mix of food is available. All food is available for eat in or take out.
We can be found at the Plaza at Aldea de Santa Fe, close to the Camino la Tierra exit off of Route 599, also known as the relief road, in Santa Fe, NM. We are just a short hop off the exit. Look for the signs for ‘Aldea’ on the Frontage Road and enter Aldea at Avenida Aldea. Once you get to the plaza we are on the right in the strip of shops. Parking is available right in front or in the parking lot across the street.
We are close to where Siler Road crosses 599 (Route 70). If you are on your way north from Airport Road or south on your way to Route 25 please stop in for a breakfast burrito, a quick lunch, a mid afternoon beverage, a dinner out with your children. I have not been there yet and I would love to hear back from you if you go.
Here is an idea of what they serve:
Soup: Black Eye Peas (vegetarian) cup or bowl
Traditional Plate: Stir Fried Pork with Stir Fried veg and Rice: $9.50
Indian Plate: Chicken with sweet peppers curry and eggplant curry with turmeric rice: $9.50
Dessert: Homemade Tres leches cake or carrot cake with cream cheese frosting or apple pie: $3.75 per slice.
Aldea has about 200 acres of open space and about 300 acres of developed land. The homes are moderately priced starting in the $200,000. range for a townhouse and currently topping out in the $600,000 range.
I can make it to Albertson’s from there easily in about 10 minutes and Whole Foods is another 10 minutes from DeVargas Mall where Albertson’s and CVS is located
Aldea is the most moderately priced sub that we have without traveling to the south side of town. Take a look at the listings here and give me a call 505-690-0233 Carol Allen.
