Bicyclists will no longer have to lock their bikes on a tree or a street sign when they visit Santa Fe's South Guadalupe Business District. The city announced Thursday the installation of a new on-street bicycle corral, or a place to park bicycles. Santa Fe's on-street bicycle corral is the first in New Mexico, according to a news release. In a nutshell, a bicycle corral "is an on-street bicycle parking facility that can accommodate many more bicycles than a typical sidewalk rack."
“This is big," Mayor Javier Gonzales said in a statement.
