SWAIA’s mission is “Bringing Native arts to the world by inspiring artistic excellence, fostering education, and creating meaningful partnerships. Stats say that the market is 93 years old. The market features jewelry, textiles, baskets, beadwork, quillwork, pueblo wooden carvings, sculpture, drums, hides, leather goods and more. The,” and more” includes a fashion show with some of the most exquisite clothing that you will se anywhere.

Earlier in the week (21st thru the 23rd) there is the Indigenous Indian Market. This is quite lovely also.

It is warm during the day so don’t forget your straw hat. You will be in good company. Everyone here has at least one.
